Dear Vista Staff, Students, Parents, and Community Members,
It is with great excitement that I welcome you all physically back to school for the 2021-2022 school year! I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to lead a school community with such amazing teachers, students and parents.
This last school year has been the most challenging time for many of us. The 2020-2021 school year was the first time in the history of Vista High School that we started off the year through distance learning. Although the beginning of the school had many uncertainties, one thing I was sure of was that by working together as one Lynwood family, we would persevere. Although we are not yet completely over the pandemic, we have made major academic gains by minimizing disruptions to student learning.
At Vista, we continue to find ways to maximize student learning therefore we will continue to keep updated with state and county guidelines and implement safety protocols in order to keep everyone that enters our school safe. During this new year, we will explore, improve and put in place new systems to ensure all students are college and career ready, and furthermore, we will continue to support our scholars to achieve their personal aspirations. I plan on continuing to building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.
As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who comes through our doors feel welcome at Vista High. I look forward to meeting you all and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns or ideas you would like to share.
