Principal's Message

Dear Vista Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year at Vista Continuation High School—home of the Eagles!

At Vista, we recognize that every student’s journey is unique. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students feel valued, discover their strengths, and receive the guidance they need to achieve their academic and personal goals.

This year, students will have many opportunities to learn, lead, and connect. Through our Associated Student Body, creative arts programs, and campus clubs, students can develop leadership skills, express themselves, build relationships, and become more involved in the Vista community. We are also expanding our program offerings to include a Long-Term Independent Study Program for qualifying students. This program will be offered at our satellite location—formerly known as Pathway—located behind the Lynwood Unified School District building on Bullis Road.

Preparing students for life after high school remains one of our highest priorities. Our college and career readiness opportunities include trade-focused classes, entrepreneurship courses, hands-on work experience, and internships that connect classroom learning to practical workplace skills. We are also collaborating with Lynwood Adult School to develop a new medical program that will introduce students to careers in the healthcare field.

To further support student wellness, we are excited to open a new fitness room featuring weight-training and cardiovascular equipment, along with space for meditation and mindfulness activities.

Strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success. We encourage families to stay informed and involved by visiting our school website and following us on Instagram at @lusdvistahs for important announcements, events, and celebrations.

Together, we can make this a meaningful and memorable 2026-2027 school year for every Vista Eagle. At Vista, the sky is not the limit—it is only the beginning. We look forward to helping each student SOAR by being Successful, Outstanding, Authentic, and Respectful throughout their academic journey.

With warm regards,

Ramon Enriquez
