School Overview
Vista High School: A Model of Opportunity and Achievement
Established in 2000, Vista High School is one of three high schools in Lynwood, California, and proudly serves as Lynwood Unified School District’s continuation high school. Located at the former site of Will Rogers Elementary and Lynwood Adult School, Vista has evolved into a vibrant hub of opportunity for students seeking a flexible and supportive learning environment.
In 2024, Vista High School was named a Model Continuation High School by the California Department of Education — one of just 31 schools in the state to receive this distinction. This prestigious recognition reflects our commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and achievement-driven school culture that supports at-promise youth through individualized learning plans, social-emotional support, and robust parent engagement.
A Personalized Path to Success
Vista serves students who may need alternative pathways to graduation due to work, family responsibilities, or other life circumstances. With flexible scheduling, personalized teacher and counselor check-ins, and student-first planning, we ensure that every learner has the tools and guidance they need to succeed.
“We pride ourselves in cultivating a welcoming and inclusive environment in which our students are supported by teachers and staff who establish genuine relationships with them, learn their backgrounds and guide them through obstacles to ensure their success.”
— Principal Ramon Enriquez
